Yes. The charter has a contract for weddings and proposals. The photographer has their contract for weddings. This ensures you understand exactly what you are receiving for services.
Yes.
You need a marriage license from one of the counties in Washington State. Make sure your license is valid for the date of your ceremony. Typically, a couple will obtain a wedding license in the county they live in.
Washington State law requires couples to wait three days after the marriage license is issued before they can use it. The waiting period begins on the day the county issues the license, not on the day you submit your marriage application. Licenses are valid for 60 days after the three-day waiting period.

When we head out, we typically do not run the boat at full speed. This keeps the decorations and the happy couple from being wind blown. This ceremony would take at least 2 hours, if not 3 hours from dock to dock. We can run on step on the way back to the marina to save some time, if you request that.
Absolutely not! We clean our boat every day, after every fishing trip. When we have a wedding, we perform a double clean and everything is sanitized. We put away our fishing rods, nets, utility tools, and we remove the downriggers from the boat before we decorate the bvoat for your special ceremony.
Including the two of you, you can have 4 additional guests.
Yes. However, the officiant counts as one of your guests.
No. We will decorate the boat with the decorations we have. You can however, bring small things to accent the decorations we use. Please keep in mind, anything used must fall within the safety guidelines for safe operation of the boat.
This is actually a difficult question to answer. Here is why.
I.E. You plan to get married August 15th at sunrise. Sunrise on this day will be at 6:06 am. Completely possible, but things to consider. If you want to be in front of the City of Seattle, you will need to be at the marina no later than 4:30 am.
Let’s say you want to have a sunset wedding on the same day. The sun will set at 8:21 pm. Also, completely possible. But if you plan on having a reception afterwards, you will need to take that into consideration for timing an planning. Depending on where we go on the water, you woul dnot be back to the dock until 9:00 pm if not later.
For the best photography, You would not want the sun to be at its meridian (highest point). We use a Sun & Moon calculator to figure this exact time out.
Frequently Asked Questions About Photography

While this is no guarantee, the best advice we can offer you is to book as far out from your wedding date as possible. Our photographers are good and widely sought after to shoot weddings. So planning as far in advance as possible will give you the best opportunity at securing a specific photographer. That said, our staff photographers are very good at what they do and we doubt you will be disappointed.
No. Our photographers are trained to work on our boat in tight quarters with a max of 6 guests.
Frequently Asked Questions About Weather
Part of the boat includes a covered area, but the main deck remains open to the elements. To keep you comfortable during light rain, we provide clear umbrellas onboard.
We closely monitor weather forecasts and usually have a reliable outlook at least five days in advance. If we expect extreme weather—such as sleet, heavy snow, strong winds, or severe thunderstorms—we’ll reschedule your wedding for safety. Your contract will clearly outline this policy.
